How the computer should be interrealated inside the network and the method which is apply for this task is called network topology.
Now,which topology is usedto install computer network depends on following properties-(1)required system performance(2)reliability (3)system size (4)ability to move the system (5)price of parts(6)presence of communication lines(7)information route distance.
STAR NETWORK TOPOLOGY-in star network topology many computers are connected to a single host computerin this,the computers are not connected with each other and they take the help of the host computer to communicate.this host computer becames the logical path hub in the two computers, centrally controlling the communication.
WHAT WAS THE ADVANCEMENT OF STAR TOPOLOGY-(1)in this topology the line cost is low as asmall line is needed to connected the nodes.(2)delay is less betwe(3)if one local computer fails,it has no effect on others.
